Efforts to revive the iconic nameplate of the 2023 Toyota GR Supra led some to question whether the car would retain its Japanese lineage. It was clear at first glance that the Supra wasn’t as nice as a BMW. It had its own character and good abilities, but many of its interior parts were from BMW. The Supra increased in power to over 400 horsepower and is equipped with a set of softer suspension appropriately nicknamed the “GT” package which were added for times when thrill seekers wanted to tame their ride while remaining a part of the wild side.
Toyota is launching the A91-CF Edition in 2022. This model, designed with carbon-fiber accents and a signature front splitter, will be launched as the first of its kind to feature both carbon fiber and hydrogen technology. The A91-CF is a trim level with the 3.0 Premium updated to include more red than black which also sets it apart from other members of its family. Available in three colors, you can now pick Absolute Zero, Nitro Yellow or Phantom Matte Grey to match your personal preference. Production of the 2023 model will be limited to 600 units. Other changes include heated seats on the 3.0 trim level and full-screen Apple CarPlay capabilities to all trims.
Toyota has announced the A91-CF edition of the 2023 Toyota GR Supra, a limited-run model with plenty of exposed carbon fiber trim and a choice of 19-inch matte black wheels or red Brembo brake package. There will only be 600 North America models of the A91-CF Supra and they will go on sale exclusively in North America.
The 2023 Toyota A91-CF will share many of the same features as a non-special edition, 2022 sixth generation Toyota Supra that is unchanged after receiving small powertrain tweaks to gain 382 hp for the 2021 model year. The new 3.0 Premium trim of the Supra includes a red interior, as well as heated seats that come standard.
With a two-tone leather and Alcantara interior, 19-inch wheels and red Brembo brake calipers, the A91-CF will offer a sporty look. Carbon fiber swirls throughout the exterior of this limited edition supercar.
This A91-CF will have a standard 3.0 liter six-cylinder engine, an available adaptive suspension, and the usual limited-slip differential that come with other Supras. Last year’s programming updates improved both the suspension and rear differential.
The Interior of the car does benefit from several light changes with a new red-themed color scheme and some extra carbon fiber trim. Under the hood, the three-litre inline-six engine still produces 383 horsepower at 5800 rpm. The power from the engine is sent to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission, but some reports claim that a manual transmission may be available in the future so you might want to wait before making your decision. To provide more context, the 2023 Toyota GR Supra 3.0 was capable of 335 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque, as opposed to the 2021 model’s performance: 340 horsepower and 380 pounds of torque with a power sprint time of 4.1 seconds vs. the 3.9 seconds on its predecessor model. The A91-CF might be a bit slower than the original model at 4.0-seconds to 60 mph due to additional down force, this is just speculation right now.
Based on the announcement of a new Supra model from Toyota, we anticipate that this new cars coming will cost around $58,000 when it is released. Owners of the new Toyota Supra will receive a complimentary membership to the National Auto Sport Association with their purchase, which grants them access to an event that includes one-on-one training time with experts. We are excited to announce that the new Supra will be available this fall.
The 2023 Toyota GR Supra has an excellent performance, and for 2022 it also receives a limited-run edition to keep consumers interested. In order to be considered a true enthusiast, you have to own the A91-CF Edition. You should buy it now because there are only 100 cars being made.
